Children will be gaining a rich, deep learning experience, covering all aspects of computing in their lessons. The wealth of resources available to children enables them to develop their experience and understanding, which will help to prepare them for the future. Our children can use laptops and iPads in the classroom to support research tasks and they can use design programs and software to support art and DT. The use of computing is greatly encouraged in all areas of the curriculum, such as Maths and Science, which will help children to build in confidence and develop their computing skills. In discrete Computing lessons, our teachers follow the 'Purple Mash' Scheme of Work which shows a clear progression in skills and understanding of computing from EYFS up to year 6. Most importantly, throughout the scheme children are being shown ways to stay safe when using computers and the internet and how they can protect themselves from any harm. Safety in the digital world is a main focus in the computing curriculum across all of the key stages and it covers many elements of computer safety.
