School Ambassadors
Our school ambassadors are pupils from across the school who have been elected by their peers to present the views and opinions of the pupils to the Executive headteacher, Head of School, Senior Leadership Team and Governors. They are elected on an annual basis and work alongside Mrs. O'Shea, the School Ambassadors Lead, to develop projects within school. They also work alongside as part of the UNICEF 'Rights Respecting Schools' award programme.
By sharing the views and opinions of their classmates with Mrs O’Shea, teaching staff and The Senior Leadership Team, Holy Rood Ambassadors have the opportunity to develop their own communication, listening, organisational and teamwork skills, as well as taking responsibility for class and whole school projects.

What have the Holy Rood Ambassadors actioned?
Organised our annual Rotary Shoe Box appeal.
Planned, organised and set up project ‘Recycle!’ in each classroom. This means, each class now has a dedicated recycling bin (kindly funded by the FRIENDS PTA) so we all do our bit to protect God’s planet.
Ensured that all families have access to clothing pens to help avoid lost and unclaimed school uniform.
Holy Rood School Ambassadors have taken a lead in improving areas of their own classrooms from class libraries to the introduction of a plants area and its ongoing care.
